Merck & Cie KG
Merck & Cie KG is a chemical production site of the globally operating group Merck KGaA, Darmstadt (Germany) and produces active pharmaceutical ingredients for the Merck group as well as its licensees. Furthermore process media for biochromatography, which are used by clients to purify biotechnologically produced active substances, are manufactured in Altdorf.
Since1965 Merck is running this production site in Altdorf, the main location of "Urnerland".
